The Cottage Window

The Cottage Window

Original Miniature Artwork

There are places that seem to invite you to slow down — the rare sense of arriving somewhere and immediately feeling at ease. Somewhere unhurried. Somewhere you can put everything down for a while.

Perhaps it is the warmth of the light, or simply the familiarity of a window looking out onto the world. There is something wonderfully comforting about these small domestic moments; the kind that are easy to overlook, yet somehow stay with us.

Painted by hand using traditional watercolour techniques on 300gsm Fabriano watercolour paper, this miniature measures only 34 × 45 mm — smaller than a matchbox.

The painting is delicately float-mounted within a warm walnut box frame and protected behind non-reflective museum glass. The glazing has been carefully selected to protect the work while allowing the intricate details of the miniature to remain beautifully clear, resulting in a complete, ready-to-hang artwork.

As with each original in the collection, The Cottage Window is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, documenting its originality and provenance.
